BlitzTax is owned and operated by Maktoub, Inc. ("BlitzTax," "we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how BlitzTax collects, uses, and discloses your personal information. This Privacy Statement refers to our website (www.blitz-tax.com) (our "Site") and our mobile apps (our "App") for mobile devices (together, our "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, comprehended, and agree to the collection, storage, use, and sharing of your personal information as outlined in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. 

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE? 

The categories of information we collect can include: 

• You provide us with direct information: When you use our services, we may gather personal information about you, your spouse, your dependents, or your company, including personal information. Personal information is information that may be used to identify an individual. We may gather the following information: 
• Contact Information (e.g., name, phone number, address, and email address);
• Social Security Number and other government identification numbers (e.g., EIN, Driver’s License Number, and ITIN);
• Financial Information (e.g., income, revenue, assets, credits, deductions, expenses, and bank account information);
• Payment Data (e.g., checking, debit, and credit card account numbers, balances, and payment history);
• Health Information (e.g., health insurance status and financial information related to payment for healthcare services);
• Geo-Location Information;
• Website, Mobile Application, and Email Usage Data (e.g., interactions with a website, application, or advertisement);
• Device Information (e.g., internet protocol (IP) address, device type, unique identifier, app version, operating system, network data, and phone state);
• Login Information;
• Demographic Information;
• Professional or employment-related information; and
• Education information.

We may also collect any communications you have with BlitzTax as well as any other information you provide to BlitzTax.

2. WE GET INFORMATION FROM THIRD-PARTY SITES VIA WHICH YOU CONNECT TO OUR SERVICE

We may obtain personal information about you from third parties and combine it with information gathered via our Service. We may acquire information, for example, when you log in to a third-party social network or authentication service, such as Facebook or Google. These services will verify your identity and allow you to share some personal information with us, such as your name, email address, address book, and contacts, or other information. Similarly, when you interact with us via a social media site or third-party service, such as when you like, follow, or share BlitzTax content on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, or other sites, we may receive information from the social network, such as your profile information, picture, the user ID associated with your social media account, and any other information you grant the social network permission to share with third parties. The data we acquire from these third-party sites is subject to the policies of that third party as well as your privacy preferences on that third-party site. Before linking or connecting to our website or Service, you should always examine and, if required, modify your privacy settings on third-party websites and services.  

• Location Information: We acquire information about your location via GPS, WiFi, wireless network triangulation, or other methods to provide our Service. We may also use your IP address to estimate your location. We also collect information about your location via the Google Address API. Google employs a variety of methods to detect your position, including IP addresses, GPS, and other sensors that may supply Google with information about nearby devices, WiFi access points, and cell towers, among other things. We keep location data connected to your personal information for as long as it is necessary to deliver the Service, and then we destroy it. We may keep de-identified location data for a longer time to study aggregate trends and analytics.
• Information we receive from third parties. We may get information about you from third parties and other users, such as Plaid, from time to time. We may also acquire publicly available information about you.
• We use your information to run, manage, and provide you with the Service's features and functionality, as well as to interact directly with you, such as by sending you email messages and push notifications. We may also send you emails or notifications about the Service (e.g., account verification, change or updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices). 3.   HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION USING COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGY

We and our third-party partners, like other websites and online services, automatically collect some types of useful information when you visit our Services, read our emails, or otherwise interact with us. This information is often collected through a variety of tracking technologies, such as cookies, web beacons, Flash cookies (locally stored objects), embedded scripts, location-identifying technologies, and similar technology (collectively, "tracking technologies"). 

These tracking technologies collect information about your browser and online usage patterns (e.g., IP address, browser type, browser language, referring / exit pages and URLs, pages viewed, whether you opened an email, links clicked), and information about the device(s) you use to access the Service (e.g., mobile device identifier, mobile carrier, device type, model and manufacturer, mobile device operating system brand and model, and depending on your mobile device settings, your geographical location data (which could include GPS coordinates (e.g. latitude and/or longitude) or similar information regarding the location of your mobile device), or we may be able to approximate a device’s location by analyzing other information, like an IP address.  

We or our third-party partners may connect your different devices so that the material you see on one device might result in relevant advertising and content presented on another, and so that we can identify and contact you across multiple devices. We may also collect analytics data or utilize third-party analytics tools to assist us to measure the Service's traffic and usage patterns. Although we make every effort to respect our users' privacy settings, we are unable to react to Do Not Track signals from your browser at this time. 

We use or may use tracking technology data to (a) remember information so you don't have to enter it again during your visit or the next time you visit the site; (b) provide custom, personalized content and information, including targeted content and advertising; and (c) recognize and contact you across multiple devices; (d) deliver and monitor the efficacy of our Service; (e) monitor aggregate metrics on our website such as a total number of visitors, traffic, usage, and demographic tendencies; (f) diagnose or repair technical problems; and (g) otherwise prepare for and improve our service. 

If you prefer not to accept cookies, most browsers will enable you to: I modify your browser settings to inform you when a cookie is received, giving you the option of accepting or rejecting it; (ii) deactivate existing cookies; or (iii) configure your browser to automatically reject cookies. 

Please keep in mind that doing so may have an adverse effect on your experience with the Service, as some features and services may not function properly. You may not be able to erase or disable all cookies depending on your mobile device and operating system. You may also configure your e-mail to avoid the automatic download of pictures that may contain technologies that allow us to determine if you have viewed and used our e-mail.

3.  SHARING OF YOUR INFORMATION

We may share your personal information with:

• Other Service subscribers. We may disclose your information to third parties with whom you contact over the Service. You have complete control over whom you communicate with and what information you reveal. 
• Third parties at your request.    
• Other companies and brands owned or controlled by Maktoub, Inc., as well as other companies owned or controlled by BlitzTax, which includes our subsidiaries (i.e., any organisation we own or control) or our ultimate holding company (i.e., any organisation that owns or controls us) and any subsidiaries it owns.
• These companies will use your personal information in the same way that we do in accordance with our Policy. Third parties with which we collaborate to conduct competitions and sweepstakes, who are normally listed by name in the contest or sweepstakes' Official Rules;
• Third-party vendors and other service providers who execute services on our behalf, such as identifying and distributing targeted adverts, providing mailing services, providing tax and accounting services, contest fulfilment, site hosting, or providing analytic services;
• When you offer comments or use material on our website, you are making it available to the whole public. For example, if you publish user material on our blog or leave a comment on one of our social media pages, your information, such as your first name, last initial, state of residence, and remarks, may be shown on our website or on one of our social media pages. 
• Other parties in connection with a company transaction, such as a merger, sale of company assets or shares, reorganisation, financing, change of control, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company or third party, or in the event of bankruptcy or similar or related proceedings; and
• Third parties as required by law or subpoena, or if we have a reasonable belief that such action is required to (a) comply with the law and reasonable requests from law enforcement; (b) enforce our Terms of Service [link] or to protect the security or integrity of our Service; and/or (c) exercise or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of BlitzTax, our visitors, or others.

We may also share information with others in aggregated or otherwise anonymized form in which you cannot be fairly identified as a person.

4.  CONTROL OVER YOUR INFORMATION

Profile and Data Sharing Preferences: You may alter some of your data sharing options and edit your profile information, such as your user name and profile photo, on your settings page in our App or by writing us at info@blitz-tax.com. 

Access to your device's data: You may control the app's access to your device information by going to your smartphone's "Settings" app. You may, for example, deny the app access to your address book, location, photo stream, and camera. 

Controlling your communication preferences: You can unsubscribe from our promotional email messages by clicking on the "unsubscribe link" included in such emails. We make every attempt to process all unsubscribe requests as soon as possible. You cannot opt out of receiving service-related messages (for example, account verification, transactional communications, changes/updates to Service features, and technical and security notices). 

Altering or removing your information: Please contact us directly at info@blitz-tax.com if you have any queries regarding reviewing, modifying, or deleting your information. In some cases, we may be unable to edit or remove your information. 

5.  THIRD-PARTY TRACKING AND ONLINE ADVERTISING

Interest-Based Marketing: We employ third-party advertising providers to give you tailored adverts based on your browser history and engage in interest-based advertising. We may share or allow third-party online advertising networks, social media companies, and other third-party services to collect information about your use of our website over time in order for them to play or display ads on our Service, other devices you may use, and other websites, apps, or services, including Facebook. The information we share is typically, but not always, given via cookies or similar tracking technologies, which recognise the device you are using and gather information such as click stream information, browser type, time and date you visited the site, and other information. This information is used by us and our third-party partners to make the ads you see online more relevant to your interests, as well as to provide advertising-related services like reporting, attribution, analytics, and market research. 

Widgets for social media and advertising: Social media services such as the Facebook Like button, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, and other widgets may be included in our Service. These social media organisations may recognise you and gather information about your visit to our Service, and they may use a cookie or other tracking technology to do so. The privacy rules of those firms control your interactions with those features. 

We show you tailored advertising on social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and others. These companies have interest-based advertising programmes that enable us to direct advertisements to users who have expressed an interest in our Service while on the social media platform, or to groups of other users who share similar characteristics, such as likely commercial interests and demographics. These advertisements are governed by the privacy policies of those social media companies that provide them. 

Cross-Device Connectivity: We or our third-party partners may connect your devices so that content you see on one device triggers related advertising on another. When you log in to our Service, we gather information about each device you use. We may also collaborate with third-party partners that utilise monitoring technology or statistical modelling tools to assess if two or more devices are associated with a single user or household.  To help you recognise yourself across devices, we may share a shared account identifier (such as an email address or user ID) with third-party advertising partners. This cross-device linkage allows us and our partners to offer interest-based advertising and other tailored content to you across your devices, as well as perform analytics and assess the success of our advertising campaigns. 

Your Choices: 

• Cookies as well as Flash cookies: Most browsers enable you to change your browser settings to I get cookie notifications, allowing you to choose whether or not to accept them; (ii) deactivate existing cookies; or (iii) configure your browser to automatically refuse cookies. Blocking or deleting cookies may have a negative impact on your experience with the Service, as some features and services may not function correctly.

• Cross-device connectivity: Please keep in mind that opting out of getting interest-based advertising using the NAI's and DAA's online tools will only prevent a user from receiving interest-based advertisements on that specific browser or device; the user may continue to receive interest-based ads on other devices. You must opt-out on each browser or device that you use.
• Mobile marketing: You may also be able to limit interest-based advertising through your mobile device's settings by selecting "limit ad tracking" (iOS) or "opt-out of interest-based advertisements" (Android) (Android). By visiting http://youradchoices.com/appchoices and installing the mobile AppChoices app, you may be able to opt-out of certain - but not all - interest-based adverts provided by mobile ad networks.
• Some of these opt-outs may not work unless your browser is configured to allow cookies. You will need to opt-out again if you delete cookies, change your browser settings, switch browsers or computers, or use a different operating system. 

Google Analytics and AdWords: When you visit our site or Service on your browser or mobile device, login to your account on our Service, or otherwise connect with us, we utilise Google Analytics to recognise you and link the devices you use. To support the service, we share a unique identifier with Google, such as a user ID or hashed email address. We can use Google Analytics to better understand how our users interact with our Service and to tailor our advertisements and content to you. Data storage and transfer: Any information you supply on our website may be stored and processed in the United States or any other countries where BlitzTax, its affiliates, or service partners have operations.

Keeping your information safe:  We are concerned about the security of your information and have implemented physical, administrative, and technical protections to ensure the integrity and security of any information gathered via our website. However, no security mechanism is impregnable, and we cannot guarantee our systems' security 100% of the time. If any information in our control is compromised as a consequence of a security breach, we will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, notify those persons whose information may have been affected, as well as take other actions in accordance with any relevant laws and regulations. 

7.   CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

BlitzTax does not intentionally collect or solicit information from children under the age of 13.If we discover that we have accidentally obtained personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will erase that information as soon as feasible.If you feel we have information from a kid under the age of 13, please notify us at info@blitz-tax.com.

Our business partners', advertisers', and social networking sites' websites may be linked to and from the Services, and our users may post links to third-party websites.
